DIRECTOR OF NURSING
Maribeth has enjoyed being a nurse for over 30 years, seizing the opportunity to utilize skills she learned by working in critical care units of various hospitals.
She became interested in addiction after a brief employment with the Department of Corrections. There she witnessed the most inhumane treatment of patients suffering from addiction. Frustrated with the nursing care for patients suffering from this disease; she went on to become the Director of Nursing at a 90-day treatment center where she helped coordinate their detox program.
Prior to joining the team at Recovery Unplugged, she worked for an acute psychiatric hospital located in Georgetown, Texas. There she was responsible for treating patients suffering from anxiety, depression, psychosis and substance abuse.
Maribeth is the Director of Nursing for Recovery unplugged and has been able to develop and direct a team of qualified nurses who work along side some of the best addiction specialists in Texas.
“My goal is to provide a safe and effective detox while giving special attention to each patient’s individual needs.”
At Recovery Unplugged, the values of compassion, empathy, integrity, and respect are practiced daily and Maribeth feels fortunate to be part of the dynamic team here that uses music therapy to reach out across all generations.
